The main objectives of this research were: i) to study the level of students’ satisfaction on Dhamma Dissemination of Morality Teaching Monks at Pamokwittayaphum School, Angthong Province, ii) to compare students’ satisfaction on Dhamma Dissemination of Morality Teaching Monks at Pamokwittayaphum School, Angthong Province, classified by personal factors, and iii) to study the problems and suggestions for improving Dhamma Dissemination of Morality Teaching Monks at Pamokwittayaphum School, Angthong Province. The survey research was carried out in this study. The sample consisted of 159 students studying at Pamokwittayaphum School, Angthong Province. Tool used in data collection was questionnaire with reliability value equal to 0.920. The statistics used for data analysis were the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and analysis ANOVA (One way analysis of variance), and for comparison of the paired mean differences, Least Significant Difference (LSD) technique was employed.
The findings of this research were concluded as follows:
1. The overall students’ satisfaction on Dhamma Dissemination of Morality Teaching Monks at Pamokwittayaphum School, Angthong Province was ranked at the high level. When having considered in each aspect, it was found at the high level in all aspects, namely, contents, technique of used teaching media and personalities of morality teachers.
2. To compare the students’ satisfaction on Dhamma Dissemination of Morality Teaching Monks at Pamokwittayaphum School, Angthong Province, classified by personal factors, it was found that sex of respondents was noted significant difference at 0.05 level, whereas age and level of education was found no significant differences.
3. The results of the analysis of the problems and suggestions for improving Dhamma Dissemination of Morality Teaching Monks at Pamokwittayaphum School, Angthong Province revealed that:
1) For the contents of Buddhism subject: Problems and obstacles were found that there was no good atmosphere in teaching and the contents were not clear to all concerned. Suggestions: There should prepare places convenient to learning and contents consistent with the subject must be added.
2) For techniques of used teaching media of Morality teaching Monks Problems and obstacles were noted that there were too small projector’s monitor, no new media was used and no activities were carried out in the class. Suggestions: The large projector’s monitor, new media and teaching materials should be provided and group activities should be carried out in the class.
3) For the personalities of Morality teaching Monks: Problems and obstacles were found that Morality teaching Monks spoke too straightly and were not gentle. Suggestions: Morality teaching Monks should speak politely, be gentle to students and more activities should created for the sake of happiness in learning. |
