Abstract

                    This document is a research study using qualitative research methods. Above figures are intended to (1) Study the humanitarian principles contained in Theravada Buddhist scriptures (2)Study the principles in support of humanitarian principles in Theravada Buddhism scriptures and (3) Analysis principles in support of humanitarian principles to be applied in today's society. The results showed that

                   Humanitarian principles is a teaching to make a perfect human all both mind and body,  Panca – Sila and Panca – Dhamma appeared in many areas. Both Tripitaka and academics said that Panca – Sila and Panca – Dhamma referred to Dhamma which helped people to be good, and moral with clean body, speech and mind.

                   Practicing of  humanitarian  principles in Theravada Buddhism is the main of  Panca – Sila and Panca – Dhamma referred to Dhamma and Kuala-kammapatha 10 to refrain from doing evil deeds,  which helped people to be good, and moral with clean body, speech and mind.

                   Applying of humanitarian principles in the present society for Practicing follow of  Panca – Sila and Panca – Dhamma referred to Dhamma. This is for peace for the individual to live in society by the good life (livelihood), and the truth is the truth in the society from institutions around the family to national and in society
