The objectives of this study were: 1) to study the state and the problem in the elective behaviors of the electors in Nakhonsawan Municipality, 2) to compare the opinion of the people toward the elective behaviors of the electors in Nakhonsawan Municipality by classifying on the personal factors, and 3) to study ways for the promotion of the elective behaviors of the electors in Nakhonsawan Municipality, Nakhonsawan Province.
This research applied the Mixed Research consisting of the qualitative and quantitative research. The sample was 398 people from 64,526 people. The tools of the research were questionnaire and in -Depth interview. The analysis of data used Statistical Package for Social Science. The statistics for analysis data used Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, and F-test with One Way ANOVA.
Findings
1. Overall, the people's opinion toward the elective behaviors of the electors in Nakhonsawan Municipality, Nakhonsawan Province was at the high level ( = 3.78). When considering each aspect, it was found that the people's opinion toward the elective behaviors of the electors in the suffrage and the vote were at high level ( = 3.77, 4.09). However, the people's opinion toward the elective behaviors of the electors in the duration of elective decision was at the middle level ( = 3.46).
2. The people' s opinion toward the elective behaviors of the electors in Nakhonsawan Municipality by classifying on the personal factors was found that the people' s opinion toward the elective behaviors of the electors in Nakhonsawan Municipality in the sex and the income had no the difference. Therefore, the hypothesis was denied. However, the people' s opinion toward the elective behaviors of the electors in Nakhonsawan Municipality in the age, the status, the educational degree, and the occupation had the difference. Therefore, the hypothesis was accepted.
3. The way for the promotion of the of the elective behaviors of the electors in Nakhonsawan Municipality, Nakhonsawan Province was that the administrators should study the electioneering behavior of the candidates, the factors influencing the election, the elective behaviors of the electors, and the policy of the candidates.
