The objectives of this study were: 1) to study the application of the social welfare policy in the practice of Udomthanya Sub-District Municipality in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province, 2) to compare the opinion of the people toward the application of the social welfare policy in the practice of Udomthanya Sub-District Municipality in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province, and 3) to study the way and suggestions for the application of the social welfare policy in the practice of Udomthanya Sub-District Municipality in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province. The sample was 385 people in Udomthanya Sub-District Municipality, Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province. The tool of the research was questionnaire with 0.889 of reliability. The analysis of data used Statistical Package for Social Science. The statistics for analysis data used Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, and F-test with Least Significant Difference: LSD.
Results of the Research
1. Overall, the application of the social welfare policy in the practice of Udomthanya Sub-District Municipality in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province was at the middle level ( = 3.26). When considering each aspect: the health and sanitation, the education, the working and income, the recreation and the process of judgment, it was found that the application of the social welfare policy in the practice of Udomthanya Sub-District Municipality in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province was at the middle level in all the aspects.
2. The comparison of the people' s opinion toward the application of the social welfare policy in the practice of Udomthanya Sub-District Municipality in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province by classifying on the personal factors: sex, age, educational degree, occupation and income was found that the people had no the different opinion toward the application of the social welfare policy in the practice of Udomthanya Sub-District Municipality in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan. Therefore, the hypothesis was denied.
3. The ways and suggestions for the application of the social welfare policy in the practice of Udomthanya Sub-District Municipality in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province were that for the health and sanitation, the municipality should help the people having the low income for the treatment. For the education, the municipality should provide the field trip in the education continuously. For the working and income, the municipality should arrange the store across the street. Moreover, for the recreation, the municipality should provide the training and promote the occupation to the people, the disabled, the elderly and the agriculturists in getting the unearned income. For the process of judgment, the municipality should provide the staff for giving the suggestions in the law.
