The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the level of the factors Prelating to the decision to elect the local administrators and members of Sub-District administrative organizations in Thatako District, Nakhon Sawan Province, 2) to study the relationship of the personal factors and the factors relating to the decision to elect the local administrators and members of Sub-District administrative organizations in Thatako District, Nakhon Sawan Province, and 3) to study ways for the promotion of the decision to elect the local administrators and members of Sub-District administrative organizations in Thatako District, Nakhon Sawan Province.
This research applied the Mixed Research consisting of the qualitative and quantitative research. The sample was 397 people aging more than 18 years old. The tools of the research were questionnaire and in-Depth interview. The analysis of data used Statistical Package for Social Science. The statistics for analysis data used Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, and Chi-Square test.
Results of the Research
1. Overall, the level of the factors relating to the decision to elect the local administrators and members of Sub-District administrative organizations in Thatako District, Nakhon Sawan Province was at the middle level( = 3.16). When considering each aspect, it was found that the factor concerning the candidates who are local was at the highest level ( = 3.91). However, the factor concerning the personal relationship of the candidates was at the lowest level ( = 2.23).
2. The relationship of the personal factors and the factors relating to the decision to elect the local administrators and members of Sub-District administrative organizations in Thatako District, Nakhon Sawan Province was found that the age, year, occupation, degree of education, income per month, and years of living in this area had the relationship toward the decision to elect the local administrators and members of Sub-District administrative organizations in Thatako District, Nakhon Sawan Province at 0.05 of statistical significance.
3. The ways for the promotion of the decision to elect the local administrators and members of Sub-District administrative organizations were that the government should legislate to acknowledge the declaration of the candidates' properties all before and after holding the position and specify the qualification, the educational degree of the candidates to provide the qualitative candidates. Moreover, the government should promote the candidates for setting the policy and give the importance in the strengthening of the community with providing the activities such as training in the Curriculum and the seminar etc.
