The objectives of this study were: 1) to study the roles on the drug prevention and suppression of the police officers at Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Station, Nakhonsawan Province, 2) to compare the roles on the drug prevention and suppression of the police officers at Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Station, Nakhonsawan Province by classifying on the personal factors, and 3) to suggest the ways for the roles on the drug prevention and suppression of the police officers at Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Station, Nakhonsawan Province. The sample was 171 police officers at Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Station, Nakhonsawan Province. The tool of the research was questionnaire with 0.957 of reliability. The statistics for analysis data used Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, and F-test with One Way ANOVA and Least Significant Difference: LSD.
Results of the Research
Overall, the roles on the drug prevention and suppression of the police officers at Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Station, Nakhonsawan Province was at the middle level ( = 3.20). When considering each aspect, it was found that the roles on systematizing the patrol officers, providing the people's participation, coordinating between the public and the private sector, investigating and arresting, and making a preliminary examination of witnesses and compiling the evidence were at the middle level ( = 3.43, 2.77, 3.17, 3.44, and 3.20).
The comparison of the roles on the drug prevention and suppression of the police officers at Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Station, Nakhonsawan Province by classifying on the personal factors: age, degree of education, rank, field, married status, and duration of working was found that:
For the first hypothesis, the different age of the police officers had no the different roles on the drug prevention and suppression of the police officers at Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Station, Nakhonsawan Province. Therefore, the hypothesis was denied. For the second hypothesis, the different degree of education of the police officers had no the different roles on the drug prevention and suppression of the police officers at Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Station, Nakhonsawan Province. Therefore, the hypothesis was denied. For the third hypothesis, the different rank of the police officers had no the different roles on the drug prevention and suppression of the police officers at Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Station, Nakhonsawan Province. Therefore, the hypothesis was denied. For the fourth hypothesis, the different field of the police officers had no the different roles on the drug prevention and suppression of the police officers at Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Station, Nakhonsawan Province. Therefore, the hypothesis was denied. For the fifth hypothesis, the different married status of the police officers had no the different roles on the drug prevention and suppression of the police officers at Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Station, Nakhonsawan Province. Therefore, the hypothesis was denied. Last, for the sixth hypothesis, the different working duration of the police officers had no the different roles on the drug prevention and suppression of the police officers at Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Station, Nakhonsawan Province. Therefore, the hypothesis was denied.
