Abstract

 


The main objectives of  this study are : i) to study the Buddhist subjects management in secondary schools, Ayutthaya District, Ayutthaya Province, ii) to compare the opinions of teachers and students on the Buddhist subjects management in secondary schools, Ayutthaya District, Ayutthaya Province, classified by personal factors, and iii) to study the suggestions about the Buddhist subjects management in secondary schools, Ayutthaya District, Ayutthaya Province. The sample of this study consisted of 353 teachers and students in secondary schools, Ayutthaya district, Ayutthaya province, being drawn by simple random sampling technique. Tool used for data collection was a questionnaire which divided into three parts i.e. a profile of respondents, and an open-ended questionnaire. The statistics used in data analysis were frequencies, percentage, mean, standard deviation. And to test the hypothesis, the t – test was employed.
The findings of this research were concluded as follows :
The Buddhist subjects management in secondary schools, Ayutthaya District, Ayutthaya Province, were rated at the high level (  = 4.27). When having considered in each aspect, it was noticed at the high in all aspects ranging from the most to the least in terms of mean scores, content (  = 4.46),  teaching (  = 4.32),  media teaching (  = 4.30), Measurement and evaluation (  = 4.19), Environment for learning and teaching (  = 4.16), And teaching activities (  = 4.16)
With regard to the opinions of teachers and students on the Buddhist subjects management in secondary schools, Ayutthaya District, Ayutthaya Province, classified by personal factors, it was found that there was no significant difference of the opinions of teachers and students on the Buddhist subjects management in secondary schools, Ayutthaya District, Ayutthaya Province, therefore rejecting the formulated hypothesis.
Suggestion is that there should be an integration of course content Buddhism and modern science . Should develop substantive learning principles to the practice. Principles and should be appropriate to the students each class. Should develop techniques to teach Buddhism to be more effective . By using the modern technology applied in the teaching of Buddhism. And should provide students practicing it and use it correctly.
