Abstract

  The objectives of this research were : 1) to study a motivation in Buddhist Meditation observing the Four satipatthana of Master Degree’ students in Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Nakhonsawan   Buddhist  College.         2) to study a motivation level in Buddhist Meditation of Master Degree’ students in Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Nakhonsawan  Buddhist College between Pabbajita and Gahattautions, classified by personal factors, and 3) to propose solutions  and develop knowledge in Buddhist Meditation of Master Degree’ students in Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Nakhonsawan  Buddhist College. Research conducted by Mixed Research using survey Research. The sample group was Master Degree’ students in Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Nakhonsawan  Buddhist  College. The researcher determined the sample size by opening the sample size tables of R.V.Krejcie and D.W. Morgan. The sample group was 250 bodies. The researcher used Simple Random Sampling. The research tool was a questionnaire prepared by the researcher. And interviewed luminaries. Data were analyzed by using a computer program for Social Science Research with the same confidence level The statistics used to analyze data were Frequency, Percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation. They have been tested by t-test, F-test (One-way ANOVA). This is the test of difference between the three groups and above including testing of independence. If they were statistical significance therefore they will be pursued by Multiple Comparisons. Least Significant Difference: LSD. And summarized the problems, barriers and suggestions by the analysis and synthesis of data 

The study of a Motivation in Buddhist Meditation observing the Four satipatthana of Master Degree’ students in Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Nakhonsawan  Buddhist  College had been found as follows ;
1.A motivation in development students themselves emphasized on the purity of their mind and decreased tensions.
2.A motivation to  improve education in order to reach academic achievement , life-long education and upgraded learning achievement.
3.A motivation to  develop Dhamma body of knowledge to worship of Buddha, Dhamma Principle and monks.
4.A motivation to community development and created faith to people.
Furthermore the findings of the study to a motivation level in Buddhist Meditation of Master Degree’ students in Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Nakhonsawan  Buddhist  College. There were gender, age, occupation and Samanasaruppa. The analysis found that overall and in 4 aspects Self-development, Educational Development, Dhamma Knowledge and community development and Network structure by average as a whole, each dimension and each item. They were found that there were not significant differences at .05 level. The independent variable viz gender, age, occupation and samarasaruppa did not affect the Vipassana meditation. The suggestions about vipassana meditation project should be increased motivation by place, time period and atmosphere of the practice
