This research consisted of three objectives, namely 1) to investigate the levels of Effectiveness of the sub-district administration organization in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, 2) to compare the Effectiveness of the sub-district administration organization in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, and 3) to explore problems, obstacles, and recommendations regarding Effectiveness of sub-district administration organization in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
The present study was quantitative research. The study sample consisted of 130 out of the total of 637 government officials and related persons working in the municipality under the sub-district organization administration in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. A questionnaire was used in data collection, and a computer program was employed in data analysis-both descriptive statistics of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation and inferential statistics t-test, One-Way ANOVA, and Scheffe’s post hoc comparison.
The study findings were as follows:
1. The overall Effectiveness of the sub-district administration organization in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province was at a high level. When considering each of the five aspects, it was found that the Effectiveness of the sub-district development planning was at a high level, while the Effectiveness of the budget administration aspect, the participation aspect, the public administration aspect, and the service provision aspect was at a moderate level.
2. As regards hypothesis testing, it was found that the administrators who were different in age, educational background, and position had different levels of Effectiveness in the sub-district administration organization in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province with statistical significance at the 0.05 level, which supported the hypothesis. On the other hand, the administrators who were different in gender and work experience had different levels of Effectiveness in the sub-district administration organization in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province with no statistical significance at the 0.05 level, which did not support the hypothesis.
3. As regards problems, obstacles, and recommendations regarding development of Effectiveness in the sub-district administration organization in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, it was found that the administrators and the people had a good living standard, they received facilities and convenience, and their needs were met, which were the goals of the sub-district administration organization in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. In order to effectively reach the goals, the people need to participate in operations of the sub-district administration organization in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Also, plans to implement projects to further develop the villages under the sub-district administration organization in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province should also be clarified.
