This study consisted of three main objectives, namely, 1) to studylevel the participation of people in development of communitywelfare fund, Klongchinda Subdistrict, Samphran District, Nakhonpathom Province, 2) to compare the participation of people in development of community welfare fund, Klongchinda Subdistrict, Samphran District, Nakhonpathom Province, classifiedby personal factors, and 3) to study the problems, obstacles and proposals about theparticipation of people in development of community welfare fund, Klongchinda Subdistrict, Samphran District, Nakhonpathom Province. The mixed methodology research was employed in this study like quantitative research using survey technique, the Questionnaire as the tool collection and qualitative research using In-depth interview as tool collection. The sample comprised 320 members of community welfare fund, Klongchinda Subdistrict, Samphran District, Nakhonpathom Province.The gathered data were analyzed by using statistical techniques such as frequencies, percentage, mean and standard deviation. To test the hypotheses, t-test and F-Test (One Way Analysis of Variance) were employed. A mean difference of the pair was conducted by a Least Significant Different (LSD). The data collected from In-depth Interview were analyzed by Content Analysis technique.
The findings of this study were concluded as follows:
1. Theoverall participation of people in development of community welfare fund, Klongchinda Subdistrict, Samphran District, Nakhonpathom Province, was found at themoderatelevel with mean score equal to 3.13. When considered in each aspect, it was also noted at the moderate levels in all aspects.
2. With regard to comparison of participation of people in development of community welfare fund, Klongchinda Subdistrict, Samphran District, Nakhonpathom Province, classified by personal factors, it was found that sex, age, level of education, monthly income, occupation and status have no significant difference even at 0.05 level of confidence, therefore rejecting the formulated hypotheses.
3. For problems, obstaclesand suggestions to improve the participation of people in development of community welfare fund, Klongchinda Subdistrict, Samphran District, Nakhonpathom Province, the study revealed thatmost peopleearned lessmonthly income, lived in aging period, lacked knowledge and understanding and paid no attention to develop community welfare fund by thinking that it was the duties of community welfare fund committee, lacked all-round public relations and adequate supporting fund for local administrative organizations.
