The research entitled The People’s Participation in Water Pollution Management of Klong 5 Community, Thanyaburi District, Pathumthani Province is a quantitative Research consisting of three main objectives, namely, i) to study the people’s participation in Water Pollution Management of Klong 5 Community, Thanyaburi District, Pathumthani Province; ii) to compare the people’s participation in Water Pollution Management of Klong 5 Community, Thanyaburi District, Pathumthani Province classified by personal factors; and iii) to study problems and suggestions in the people’s participation in Water Pollution Management of Klong 5 Community, Thanyaburi District, Pathumthani Province. It is the Survey Research of which data collection has been used by questionnaires for the sampling group of 317 populations consisting of administrators, government officers and general people. The gathered data were analyzed by using statistical techniques for sociological methodology such as Frequencies, Percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation, t-test, F-Test (One Way Analysis of Variance), also Least Significant Different (e:LSD) with statistical significance at .05.
The findings of the study are as follows:
1) the people’s participation in Water Pollution Management of Klong 5 Community, Thanyaburi District, Pathumthani Province had been found in good level 4.06. Considering in details of each aspect, all were in good level, too.
2) Classified by gender, age, occupation, level of education and period of staying in the community on the people’s participation in Water Pollution Management of Klong 5 Community, Thanyaburi District, Pathumthani Province, the differences on gender were significant differences at the 0.05 level. Meanwhile, differences of age, occupation, level of education and period of staying in the community had no differences.
3) Suggestion: 1) The Sub-District Administrative Organization should care of people’s need in Water Pollution Management of the community. 2) The people should be able to take part in Water Pollution Management of the community to check the administrative system of Sub-District Administrative Organization. 3) It should be better to provide people the projects in Water Pollution Management of the community. 4) People of community enable to participate in the administrative system of Sub-District Administrative Organization continuously for benefits of environment and life quality of people in Klong 5 community.
