This research consisted of three main objectives : (1) to study an application of S@r@nîyadhamma principles for personnel’s working performance of Kongkrailas District Office, Sukhothai Province; (2) to compare an application of S@r@nîyadhamma principles for personnel’s working performance of Kongkrailas District Office, Sukhothai Province, classified by personal factors; and (3) to study guidelines for an application of S@r@nîyadhamma principles for personnel’s working performance of Kongkrailas District Office, Sukhothai Province. The sample used in this study consisted of 200 personnel in Kongkrailas District Office, Sukhothai Province, drawn by random sampling technique. The tool used for data collection was questionnaire with reliability value equal to .79. The gathered data were analyzed by using statistical techniques such as frequencies, percentage, mean and standard deviation. To test the hypotheses, t-test and F-Test (One Way Analysis of Variance) were employed. A mean difference of the pair was conducted by a Least Significant Different (LSD).
The findings of this study are concluded as follows:
1. The overall opinions of respondents relating to an application of S@r@nîyadhamma principles for personnel’s working performance of Kongkrailas District Office, Sukhothai Province, were found at the moderate level. When considered into each aspect, it was noticed at the moderate levels in all aspects.
2. To compare opinions of personnel relating to the application of S@r@nîyadhamma principles for working performance of Kongkrailas District Office, Sukhothai Province, classified by personal factors, it was found that level of education, occupation and monthly income have significant differences at 0.05 level of confidence, thus accepting formulated hypotheies, whereas age was found no significant differences, therefore rejecting set hypothesis.
3. Recommendations for improvement of an application of S@r@nîyadhamma principles for personnel’s working performance of Kongkrailas District Office, Sukhothai Province, revealed that for Mettakayakamma (to be amiable in deed), personnel should frequently make services for the public, should be amiable towards the people who come to get services, pay attention in their duties and treat people who come for services equally; for Mettavacikamma (to be amiable in word), personnel should use polite words and treat kindly people who come to get services; for Mettamanokamma (to be amiable in thought), personnel should create consciousness in working with the good service mind to people who come to get services by keeping in mind the social impact; for Sadharanabhogi (to share any lawful gains with virtuous fellows), personnel should use state budget efficiently and effectively to get rid of the people’s sufferings and increase the happiness; for Silasamanyata (to keep without blemish the rules of conduct along with one’s fellows), personnel should abide the rules and regulations of organization, have themselves to be the trusted persons; and for Ditthisamanyata (to be endowed with right views along with one’s fellows), they should respect the working team’s and people’s opinions, let the public take part in the meeting, take the public problems seriously and accept all the suggestions to improve themselves and their organization for the prosperity, benefits and justice of the society.
