This research aims at the Analysis of the Way to be the Buddha(s) in Theravāda Buddhism . The research is the documentary one which is of 3 main objectives, namely:- 1) to study the idea(s) and the method(s) of the Bodhisatta’s Path in the Way to be the Buddha(s). 2) to study the method(s) and to submit the common pattern(s) of the Typical Buddhahood Model(s) of Buddhabhūmi Enlightenment in the forms of systematic approaches to the Way to be the Buddha(s) 3) to analyse the Way to be the Buddha(s) in the narrow and deep points of view.
From the research, it is found that the ordinary men and women can be trained and developed into the toppest position as the Buddha(s).There are 40 ideas and many methods to cultivate Perfections. If ones wish to be the Buddha(s), they have to make the intention to the mental aspirations, the verbal aspirations and the bodily & verbal aspirations, respectively. They have to cultivate the wholesome or meritorious action to be the Aniyata Bodhisatta (Indefinite Bodhisatta) who is not sure to be the Buddha. They need to completely cultiviate more and more in the “8 Dhamma-Smodāmas” which are like vehicles that can carry the Aniyata Bohhisatta to be the Niyata Bodhisatta (Definite Bodhisatta) and then getting any various Buddhas’forecasts to make sure for being the future Buddha. In case of Sumadha Sage, he got the Dīpaṅkana Buddha’s first forecast upto the last 24 th forecast from the Kassapa Buddha for being the Gotama Buddha in the future.
The Knowledge Organization of the Typical Buddhahood Model of Buddhabhūmi Enlightenment for the 3 Niyata Bodhisattas types are of 3 models. They have to cultivate completely the 10 Pāramīs (the ten Perfections) at 3 levels is called 30 Pāramīs.They are the sprititual perfections which must be achieved by a Niyata Bodhisatta on his path to Boddhahood. 30 Pāramīs are like a vehicles that can carry the Niyata Bodhisatta to be the Buddha and to attain the enlightenment to be the Buddha(s) in 3 types and 3 common patterns of Typical Buddhahood Model(s) , namely :- 1) Model 1 : The Ugghtitaññũ Bodhisatta is the Bodhisatta who has very super higher wisdom than the faith. He has to cultivate all the wholesome or the meritorious actions and 30 Pāramīs for 20 Asaṅkheyyas and one hundred thousand Kappas and to meet the 512,027 former Buddhas. This type is called the Paññãdhika Buddha. 2) Model 2 : The Vipacitaññũ Bodhisatta is the Bodhisatta who has very super higher faith than the wisdom. He has to cultivate all the wholesome or the meritorious actions and 30 Pāramīs for 40 Asaṅkheyyas and one hundred thousand Kappas and to meet the 1,024,055 former Buddhas. This type is called the Saddhãdhika Buddha 3) Model 3 : The Neyya Bodhisatta is the Bodhisatta who has very super higher effort than the wisdom. He has to cultivate all the wholesome or the meritorious actions and
30 Pāramīs for 80 Asaṅkheyyas and one hundred thousand Kappas and to meet the 2,048,109 former Buddhas. This type is called the Viriyãdhika Buddha.
The Buddhahood must have the special 13 properties and the 11 characteristics which are not for any general Arahanta(s)(those who have attained Nirvāṇa). For examples, the Buddhas must attain the enlightenment by themselves and can teach the others too, must cultivate the 10 Pāramīs, must have the Dasa-Balañāṇas (Ten Powers of the Perfected One), 6 Chaḷāsādhāraṇañānas (Six Supernatural Powers for only the Buddha), 32 Mahāpurisalakkhaṇas (Thirty-two Marks of the Great Man) and 80 Anubyañjanas (Eighty Subsidiary Characteristics), with Nirvāṇa as is the Hightest Goal in Buddhism.
However, the Dhamma that causes the Bodhisattas to attain the enlightenment to be the Buddha is called “ 2 Upaññãta-Dhammas” which are 2 virtues realized or ascertained by the Buddha Himself, namely :- 1) discontent in moral states or discontent with good achievements and 2) having perseverance in exertion or unfaltering effort.
The narrow and deep analysis of the way to be the Buddha(s) in the 6 specific relevant core topics of the prerequisites are as follows :- 1) The Buddha must be a man and be used to be forecasted for surely attaining the enlightenment by the former various Buddhas. 2) The Buddha must be born and attain the enlightenment in Jambūdīpa (the continent of the rose-apples) and must also be born only in King’s family or Brāhmaṇa’s family. 3) The Buddha must be the only one of each time of the Buddha’s period. 4) When the ordinary man or woman wishes to be the Buddha, he or she must have intention to the mental aspirations at the first step and then the verbal aspirations and the bodily & verbal aspirations, respectively. 5) To be the Buddha, one must completely cultivate 30 Pāramīs and take time for many Asaṅkheyyas and Kappas. 6) To be the Buddha, one had to be used to sacrifice his children and wife for the fulfillment of 30 Pāramīs.
