Abstract

                         The objectives of this research were: 1) to study public opinion on the administrative efficiency in accordance with good governance of Thepraksa sub-district local administrative organization, Sangkha District, Surin Province.  2) to compare public opinion on the administrative efficiency in accordance with good governance of Thepraksa Sub-district local administrative organization, Thepraksa Sub-District, Sangkha District, Surin Province and 3) to study the problems and suggestions to the administration according to the  good governance of the Thepraksa Sub-district local administrative organization, Thepraksa Sub-district, Sangkha District, Surin Province.

               The methodology was the quantitative Research, collecting data from 378 samples who lived in Thepraksa Sub-district, Sangka District, Surin Province. Data were analyzed by the statistical Frequency, Percentile, Mean, Standard Deviation, hypothesis testing by t-test, F-test and one way ANOVA

               Findings:

               1. Administrative efficiency in accordance with good governance of Thepraksa Sub-district Local Administrative Organization, Sangkha District, Surin Province as a whole was  at a moderate level ( = 2.92), considering by each aspect, it was also found that the rule of law was at a moderate level (  =2.99), the ethics was  as at a moderate level ( = 2.96), the transparency was at a  moderate level ( =2.89), the participation was at a moderate level ( =2.90), the accountability was at a moderate level ( =2.92) and the equitability was at a  moderate level
( = 2.88).

               2. Comparing people’s opinions towards the administrative efficiency in accordance with good governance of Thepraksa Sub-district Local Administrative Organization, Sangkha District, Surin Province classified by sex, marital status, age, occupation and the duration of living found that the peoples’ opinions were not significantly statistically different at the set 0.05 level denying the set hypothesis. Classifying by the level of education, average monthly income, it was found that people have different opinions towards the administrative efficiency at the statistically significance at 0.05, conforming the set hypothesis, and

               3. The problems and recommendations for the administrative efficiency of Thepraksa Sub-district, Sangka District, Surin Province were that there should be reporting of the  performance conclusion for the public periodically, the opportunity should be open for the public to participate in the follow-up the plans and projects. There should be dispatching information to the public through the electronic channel, website and on-line social network. People should be able to share decision making. There should be public hearings about rules, laws and regulations issued by the local administration before enforcement. People should also have the opportunity to participate in administrative performance evaluation.
