ABSTRACT
The objectives of this study were : 1) to study levels of satisfaction toward public service quality of staffs at Juvenile Observation and Protection Centre of Nakhonsawan Province, 2) to compare the levels of the satisfaction toward the public service quality of staffs at Juvenile Observation and Protection Centre of Nakhonsawan Province by classifying the personal factors, and 3) to study problems, barriers and ways for the development of the public service quality of the staffs at Juvenile Observation and Protection Centre of Nakhonsawan Province.
The sample of the study was 279 people served from the staffs at Juvenile Observation and Protection Centre of Nakhonsawan Province by Accidental Sampling. The study applied Quantitative Research. The study applied Survey Research. The instrument of the study was the questionnaires. The statistics for data analysis used Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, One Way ANOVA and Least Significant Difference : LSD.
Results of the Research :
overall, the public service quality of the staffs at Juvenile Observation and Protection Centre of Nakhonsawan Province was high. When considering each aspect : process, service, accommodation, quality, and reliability, it was found that these were in high level.
For the comparison of the people’s opinion toward the public service quality of staffs at Juvenile Observation and Protection Centre of Nakhonsawan Province by classifying the personal status, it was found that the people having different age had different opinion toward the public service quality of staffs at Juvenile Observation and Protection Centre of Nakhonsawan Province at 0.05 of statistical significance. The hypothesis is accepted. However, the people having different sex, educational degree, occupation and income per month had no different opinion. The hypothesis is denied.
For the comparison of number of agriculturists and employees, it was found that the people did not get information for the public and know the rights and advantages and the disadvantages according to law. It was important that the public should provide the information and the proactive public relations. The service should apply the Buddha-Dhamma principles to be the strategy for the performance to promote the potential in the service for the people with training the staffs to know and understand the Buddha-Dhamma principles and the ways for the practice according to the Buddha-Dhamma principles to apply in the performance.
