Abstract
There are three objectives of the study (1) to study the idea of enhancing happiness in work, (2) to study the Buddhist teachings which enhance happiness in work and, (3) to develop Buddhist activities package for enhancing happiness in work for the staff of Asia Pet (Thailand) Ltd.
This is a quasi-experimental research and the samples completed one group pre test-post test design. The samples were eight volunteer Asia Pet (Thailand) Ltd. staffs working at the head office and the experiment was conducted in December 2012 until February 2013.
The tools used in this research were the happiness in work assessment test and Buddhist activities package. The researcher has selected the Buddhist teachings which related to enhancing happiness in work and they are (1) the Five Percepts, (2) Mindfulness on Breathing, (3) Loving-Kindness, (4) Mindfulness on Death, (5) Proper Attention and (6) the Dependent Origination.
The result has shown that Buddhist activities package was able to increase the happiness in work for Asia Pet (Thailand) Ltd. staff with no statistical significance as level 0.05.
