ABSTRACT
This research is aimed to 1) study the participation of sangha on Buddhist subject management in schools, Banlad district, Phetchaburi province, 2) compare the participation of sangha on Buddhist subject management in schools, Banlad district, Phetchaburi province with different personal status, and 3) examine the problems, obstacles and suggestions in development the participation of sangha on Buddhist subject management in schools, Banlad district, Phetchaburi province. The research method is Mixed Research, quantitative research field study with sangha administrators and moralistic monks in schools, Banlad district, Phetchaburi province - totaling 71. The tool for collecting data was as the questionnaire is both closed and open-ended. The Researcher used in data analysis were the frequency, percentage (%), mean ( ), standard deviation (S.D.), test the hypothesis by testing the value t-test and F-test, one way analysis of variance and least significant difference or LSD. And, qualitative research is the analysis of documents and interviews.
The findings of this research are as follows:
1. The participation of sangha on Buddhist subject management in schools, Banlad district, Phetchaburi province was found that overall in high level at mean of 3.62, when considering the separation aspects high level all aspect, the aspects that has the most value include academic at mean of 3.69, sequence followed include the administrative personnel at mean of 3.60, and the budget at mean of 3.56, respectively.
2. The comparison the participation of sangha on Buddhist subject management in schools, Banlad district, Phetchaburi province with different personal status was found that the personal status the position has results the significantly different at the 0.01 level, and Pali education has results the significantly different at the 0.05 level - this match the hypothesis. Those personal statuses are age, years of being monk, and general education level has results not different - this does not match the hypothesis.
3. The suggestions and guideline in development the participation of sangha on Buddhist subject management in schools, Banlad district, Phetchaburi province by aspects of the study.
3.1 The academic: should be the youth believe that the values of Dhamma principles and Buddhist academic, should create learning materials to that interest students, and should be monks take part in a plan to teach Buddhism along with teachers.
3.2 The budget: should be additional funding provided by request to other government agencies involved in the education of youth or entities involved in the propagation of Buddhism, and should increase funding for the study of Buddhism by the sangha of the sub-district and district level by the school area.
3.3 The administrative personnel: should has the teacher escorts to facilitate for the monks in teaching Buddhism, and should work together to create a network of monks who were involved in the Buddhist study of the schools, to share the innovation of education.
