Abstract
The main purposes of this research are: 1) to determine the efficiency in Sangha Administration in Kanjanaburi Province, 2) to compare the efficiency review of Sangha Administration in Kanjanaburi Province and 3) to study the guidelines and suggestions for improving the Sangha Administration in Kanjanaburi Province to be effective and the sample used in this study were 432Phrasanghathikan (Principal Monks) who manage monk ministry in Kanjanaburi. Equipment used in data collection was questionnaire created by researcher. Its reliability is equal to 0.847. The collected data were analyzed by using computer program for social science research. The statistics used for data analysis were the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and analysis ANOVA (One way analysis of variance) and to compare the differences of paired means, the Least Significant Differences (LSD) was employed.
The results of this study were concluded as follows:
(1) Monks respondents perceived that the effective administration of the affairs of ministry in Kanjanaburi Province in overall were medium level except proliferate to public in Buddhism was in high level.
(2) Monks in different general education have opinions for the efficiency of administration in Kanjanaburi Province monk ministry in overall were statistically significant different at 0.05 level. The questionnaire have opinions to the efficiency of Monk ministry administration in Kanjanaburi Province in different age, years of ordination, level of Pali study, position of duty and work experience have no significant differences.
(3) Results of problems and suggestions to the efficiency of monk ministry administration in Kanjanaburi Province found that: 1) there are no planning operations for the ministry in long run and lack of budget in all parts, 2) no structure or management of the resource management system of the Ministry to get benefit as much as it should be, 3) focus on education in low esteem, by view to the education when learning is over it cannot develop anything more, because clergy attached to feudalism, and 4) lack of outstanding official or special ability to coordinate between Government service and Monk ministry, in which raising funds in the management of the Sangha is less.
(4) Suggestions were as follows: 1) plan should be conducted to find the source of the budget to be used to manage all aspects of measurement, 2) requires management structure in the distribution of power in the temple that everyone involved how to plan, 3) should send person to get more education to enhance their skills to be teacher who can teach both monks and student and to get techniques how to teach, 4) should appoint person to coordinate to the high rank command and how to provide budget resources, and 5) should follow-up work in every command to achieve the objectives by planning how to perform it. |
