ABSTRACT
The research entitled “A Study of the Factors Influencing the Ethical Characteristics of Suankularb Wittayalai School Pupils in Burapapirom under Phranakorn of Bangkok” was aiming to study the factors influencing the Ethical characteristics of Suankularb Wittayalai School Pupils and to study the factors Influencing the understanding of Suankularb Wittayalai School Pupils’ Ethics in Burapapirom under Phranakorn of Bangkok. Data were collected from a sample including 637 pupils in level 3 (Grade 1-3) and level 4 (grade 4-6) of Suankularb Wittayalai School Pupils’ Ethics in Burapapirom under Phranakorn of Bangkok. The tool of data collection was a questionnaire. Statistics used for data analysis included Percentage, Frequency, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test and One-way ANOVA. The results of the study were as follows.
1. Pupils’ ethical behavior was generally and individually moderate in the aspects of honesty, discipline, responsibility, social assistance and compassion.
2. Pupils’ ethical behavior was not significantly different with the reliable rate of 95%, while individually considering it was found that the aspects of honesty, discipline, responsibility, social assistance and compassion were not significantly different with the reliable rate of 95%.
3. Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 pupils’ Ethical behavior was generally significantly different at 0.05 level, while considering individually it was found that the aspects of honesty, discipline, responsibility, social assistance and compassion were significantly different at 0.05.
Suggestions were as follows:
1. Administrators and teachers should make an effective plan to strengthen pupils’ Ethical behavior.
2. The school should promote learning and teaching activities or other supplementary activities to enhance pupils’ opportunity of expression out such as sports, tourism, nature conservation, Buddhist activities etc., because these activities would strengthen pupils’ Ethical behavior.
3. Pupils’ parents should be asked for cooperation in the strengthening of pupils’ Ethical behavior. |
