ABSTRACT
Victual Development of Students at the Secondary school Educational service area office 6 (ChacheongChao-Samutprakarn) was aiming (1) to study the development of the Virtue of Secondary School students under the Office of Chacheong Choa-Samut Prakarn Education Area 6; (2) to compare the Secondary students’ opinion on the development of the Virtue of Secondary School students under the Office of Chacheong Choa-Samut Prakarn Education Area 6 classified as sex, age and class levele; and (3) to study problems and suggestions on the development of the Virtue of Secondary School students under the Office of Chacheong Choa-Samut Prakarn Education Area 6. The population of the study were totally 440 Secondary students and out of these 200 were selected as the sample of the study. The tool of data collection was a questionnaire with the reliable rate of 0.861. Statistics used for the data analysis was Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, One-Way Analysis of Variance: F-test and Least Significant .Difference: .LSD based on the ready-made computer programme. The results of the study were as follows:
1. The degree of the respondents’ opinion on the development of the Virtue of Secondary School students under the Office of Chacheong Choa-Samut Prakarn Education Area 6 was generally moderate with X = 2.66 and while considering each aspect it was found that the respondents’ opinion on the development of the Virtue of Secondary School students under the Office of ChacheongChoa-Samut Prakarn Education Area 6 particularly in the aspect of their home environment was less.
2. While comparing the results of the study it was found that in case of the different sex of the respondents it did not generally differentiate their opinion on the development of the Virtue of Secondary School students under the Office of Chacheong Choa-Samut Prakarn Education Area 6 and it was the same while considering individually. It was not related to the given hypothesis.
From the study of the problems and suggestions on the development of the Virtue of Secondary School students under the Office of Chacheong Choa-Samut Prakarn Education Area 6 it was found that the most students faced the following problems: the shortage of the students’ interest in Virtue that might lead them to the lack of Virtue, the most students were not interested in the classes of Dhamma and some were sleepy during the classes; and students did not pay attention to the Dhamma camp.
Therefore, suggestions on the development of the Virtue of Secondary School students under the Office of Chacheong Choa-Samut Prakarn Education Area 6 were as follows: the outdoor classes such as going to other provinces to strengthen the students’ Virtue experiences; the Virtue Fair should be organized at least five times a year; More classes on theory and practice should be increased to enhances students’ understanding and practice; and by their best students should be encouraged to possess more Virtues. |
