ABSTRACT
This is a descriptive research which was undertaken to study the academic affairs administration of English Program of Yothinburana Secondary School, Office of Bangkok Educational Area 1. The data were collected from the samples consisting of 61 School administrators, Thai teachers, and foreign teachers. The constructed questionnaires with 5 rating scales were used as research tools. The data collected were analyzed by percentage and mean (x)
The research findings were as follows:
In the academic affairs administrators and teachers have come first for learning-teaching media management with the mean value of 4.92, and they have come second for program administration and learning-teaching management with mean value of 4.77 and 4.72 respectively. While they were found with the internal supervision, and measurement and evaluation in the highest level of the operation with the same mean value of 4.46. This indicated that the administration of academic affairs of Yothinburana secondary school are highly effective in 5 aspects of the administration.
For the approaches for developing the English program of Yothinburana Secondary school, it was found that
1. For the administration of academic affairs, there should be an emphasis on the training of teaching techniques for foreign teacher.
2. For learning - teaching management aspects, there should be an emphasis upon the usage of new teaching techniques.
3. For learning - teaching media aspect, there should be a provision for more variety of teaching media.
4. For teaching supervision aspect, there should be more supervision of teachers and every teacher should be given an opportunity to participate in the teaching supervision.
5. For measurement and evaluation aspect, there should be a flexibility and an application of results the evaluation in a continuous development of the academic affairs administration.
