Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1) to study the participation of people in the development of the monasteries in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province, 2) to compare the participation of the people in the development of the monasteries in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province by classifying on the personal factors, and 3) to study problems, barriers, and suggestions for the participation of people in the development of the monasteries in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province.

This research applied Survey Research. The sample of the study was 380 people having more than twenty years old in Takfa District, Tak Province. The instrument of the study was the questionnaires. The analysis of data used Statistical Package for Social Science. The statistics used Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard deviation, t-test, and F-test by One Way ANOVA and Least Significant Difference: LSD at 0.05 of statistical significance.

Finding :

1.    Overall, the people had the opinion toward the participation of people in the development of the monasteries in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province in high level. When considering each aspect: planning, working, resolving, and developing, it was found that the people had the opinion toward the participation of people in the development of the monasteries in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province in high level for all aspects.

    For the comparison of the people’s opinion toward the participation of people in the development of the monasteries in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province by classifying on the personal factors: sex, age, educational degrees, occupations, and income per month, it was found that the people had no different opinion toward the participation of people in the development of the monasteries in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province in the sex. However, the people had the different opinion toward the participation of people in the development of the monasteries in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province in the age, the educational degrees, the occupations, and the income per month at 0.01 of statistical significance.

2.    The problems, the barriers, and the suggestion for the participation of the people in the development of the monasteries in Takfa District, Nakhonsawan Province was:  the monasteries should have the training for the people to participate in the development of the monasteries in the planning, the working, investigating, and the resolving twice a month to increase the effectiveness in the participation of the people. The monasteries should have the note taking such as the expenses and doing the activities, and detail to the people constantly to be easy in the investigation. Moreover, the government sector and the local government are the important organization in pushing forward the people participating in the development of the monasteries by doing the activities with the monasteries to promote the people going to the monasteries, have the relationship between the monasteries and the people , and also have the participation more than.
