Abstract

          The objectives of this study were: 1) to study ways for application of the four Gharavasa-dhamma in working of police officers at Provincial Police Training Center Region 6, Nakhonsawan Province, 2) to study effectiveness in the working applying the four Gharavasa-dhamma of the police officers at Provincial Police Training Center Region 6, Nakhonsawan Province, and 3) to study problems, barriers, and suggestions for the working applying the four Gharavasa-dhamma of the police officers at Provincial Police Training Center Region 6, Nakhonsawan Province.

This research applied Survey Research. The sample of the study was 110 police officers at Provincial Police Training Center Region 6, Nakhonsawan Province. The instrument of the study was the questionnaires. The analysis of data used Statistical Package for Social Science. The statistics used Frequency, Percentage, Mean, and Standard deviation.

The results of the study found that

 Overall, the working applying the four Gharavasa-dhamma: Sacca, Dama, Khanti, and Caga of the police officers at Provincial Police Training Center Region 6, Nakhonsawan Province was in high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the effectiveness in the working of the police officers in Sacca was in the highest level. However, the effectiveness in the working of the police officers in Caga was in the lowest level.

The problems and the barriers of the working applying the four Gharavasa-dhamma of the commissioned police officers and the non-commissioned police officers at Provincial Police Training Center Region 6, Nakhonsawan Province were different. Some police officers were honest, but some were dishonest. The police officers had a lack of academic training regularly, the law development and the new strategies in the working. Moreover, the police officers had a lack of tolerance in the greed, the problem solving. The police officers had a lack of generosity to the other people, and gave the importance in their benefit more than the others.

The suggestions were that the organization should provide the income for the police officers sufficiently, cultivate the consciousness to the police officers, have the training in the law for the teachers, have the training in the skills and the strategies of the police officers regularly to be fluent in the teaching and living, increase the income for the police officers to decrease the problem of the greed, meditate to make the mind calm, use the reason in the problem solving, and have the activities to make the love and the unity between the colleagues and the people.
