Abstract

 

Abstract

              The objectives of this study were: 1) to study levels of Buddhist leadership of the commissioned police officers in Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Division,         2) to compare thelevels of the Buddhist leadership of the commissioned police officers in Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Division by classifying on the personal factors and  3) to study ways for the development of the Buddhist leadership of the commissioned police officers in Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Division.

              This research applied Survey Research. The sample of the study was 196 police officersin Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Division.  The instrument of the study was the questionnaires. The analysis of data used Statistical Package for Social Science. The statistics used Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard deviation, t-test, and F-test by One Way ANOVA and Least Significant Difference: LSD.

     The results of the study found that overall, the Buddhist leadership according to the three Papanika-dhamma: Cakkhuma, Vidhuro, and Nissayasampannoof the commissioned police officers in Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Division was in high level.

     For the comparison of the levels of the Buddhist leadership according to the three Papanika-dhammaof the commissioned police officers in Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Division by classifying on the personal factors, it was found that the sex and the educational degrees were the factors that did not influencethe levels of the Buddhist leadership according to the three Papanika-dhamma of the commissioned police officers in Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Division. However, the age, the ranks, and the positions were the factors that influenced the levels of the Buddhist leadershipaccording to the three Papanika-dhamma of the commissioned police officers in Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Division.

 

For the ways for the development of the Buddhist leadership of the commissioned police officers in Nakhonsawan Provincial Police Division, the chief should have the vision to plan the direction of the organization, distribute the work, and provide the work to be appropriate with the personnel. The police officers should have the good human relations and the leadership. The chief should apply the Dhamma principle in the working and use the knowledge management in the meeting every week to exchange the information and the experience, and make the acquaintance within the organization.
