Abstract
The objectives of this study were; 1) to study the role of the village headman of Banr Rakard Sub-district, Bang Bo, District, Samut Prakan Province, 2) to compare the role of the village headman administration of Ban Rakard Sub-district, Bang Bo District, Samut Prakan Province by polulation data and 3) to study the problems and recommendations for the governing role of village headman of Ban Rakard Sub-district, Bang Bo District, Samut Prakan Province.
Quantitative research methodology was used and data were collected by
Questionnaires from 366 samples living in Ban Rakard Sub-district, Bang Bo District, Samut Prakan Province. The statistics used to analyze data in this study were the frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation the t-test, and F –test and one-way ANOVA.
Findings :
1. The governing role of village headman at Ban Rakat Sub-district, Bang Bo District, Samut Prakan Province as a whole were at a high leve with the average at 3.68 . As for each aspect of the role, planning was at high level with the average at 3.80 , organizing was at high level with the average at 3.61, manpower planning was at a high level, 3.50, the coordination was t a high level at 3.93, and control and evaluation were at high level at 3.55.
2. A comparison of public opinion towards the governming Role of the village headman. At Ban Rakard Sub-district, Bang Bo District, Samut Prakan Province classifying by sex, education, position, monthly income, showed that there is no statistically significant differences at 0.05, confirming the set hypothesis. Classifying and age and occupation, there was no significantly statistical difference at the set 0.05 ,denying the set hypothesis.
3. As for Problems and recommendations for the governing role of village headmen at Ban Rakard Sub-district, Bang Bo District, Samut Prakan Province were s follows;
Village headman should have the role in promoting adult education in self help and integrated approach in the community. There should be the establishing fund raised for income making for the community to learn and to develop skills, develop ethical behaviors and creation of income generating activities in the community at least one a year.
Village headman should sacrifice themselves to serve the community well worthy of the trust from the villagers selecting them as community leaders. Village headman should also be soul guiding leaders, adapting religions Dhamma to train their minds. They should be the good examples for the villagers to be good followers. |
