ABSTRACT

               The objective of this research are: 1) to study level of participation in administration of Sub-district Administrative Organization in Chaloemphrakiat District, Saraburi Province, 2) to compare level of participation in administration of Sub-district Administrative Organization in Chaloemphrakiat District, Saraburi Province, classified by personal factors,  and 3) to study problems, obstacles and suggestions to improve participation in administration of Sub-district Administrative Organization in Chaloemphrakiat District, Saraburi Province.      The survey research and qualitative research were carried out in this research. The sample of this research consisted of 395 people who live in the village of sub-district administrative organization in Chaloemphrakiat district, Saraburi province, being drawn from 33,605 population. The tool used to collect data     is questionnaire. The statistics of using is frequency, percentage, mean,            and standard deviation. The hypotheses are tested by T-test and F-test or    one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA).

The results of this research are concluded as follows:

               1. The overall participation of respondents in the participation in administration of sub-district administrative organization in Chaloemphrakiat district, Saraburi province is found at the medium levels (  =3.24). When considering into each aspect, it is noted at the medium levels in all aspects with  mean scores ranging from more to less as follows: evaluation ( =3.27),  planning ( = 3.24), administration of working ( = 3.23) and enhancing in working ( = 3.21).

               2. With regard to comparison of level of participation in administration of Sub-district Administrative Organization in Chaloemphrakiat District, Saraburi Province, classified by personal factors, it is found that sex, age, level of education, occupation, and income per month have no significant differences in aspects of evaluation, planning, and administration of working even at 0.05 level, thus rejecting the formulated hypotheses. While income per month has significant difference in aspect of enhancing in working at 0.05 level of confidence, therefore accepting the set hypothesis.

               3. The result of interview relating to the participation in administration of sub-district administrative organization in Chaloemphrakiat district, Saraburi province reveal: most of key informants agree that administration in every work and all aspects needs public participation which emphasizes the harmonies, teamwork, advantage of people are important and the most important is also Buddhadhamma  which they should bring into practice for participation in administration of sub-district administrative organization like Iddhipàda 4, Brahmavihàra 4, Agati 4, Sangahavatthu 4 and Suppurisadhama 7.
