Abstract

          The objectives of this research were to; 1) study Peoples’  Participation in Nongri Sub-District Local Administrative

Organization Administration, Muang District, Cholburi Province by population data and 3)  study problems and recommendations for peoples’ participation in Nongri Sub-District Local Administrative

Organization Administration, Muang District, Cholburi Province

 .        Research methodology was quantitative research, collecting data from 400 samples in Nongri Subdistrict,  Muang District, Cholburi Province. Open and closed ended Questionnaires were used as the tool to collect data  The statistics used to analyze the datain this study were  the frequency, percentile, mean, and standard deviation. The hypotheses were tested by t-test, F-test and one-way ANOVA

               Findings :

               1. The peoples’ participation in administration of Nongri Sub-district, Muang District, Cholburi Province, as a whole, was at a high level with the average at 3.91, As for each aspect of participation, peoples’ participation in decision making was at middle level with the average of 2.96, peoples’ saccrifining in community development was at middle level with the average of 3.46, profit sharing was at high level with the average of 3.55 and the job evaluation was at high level with the average of 3.91.

               2. The comparison of public participation in the administrative participation of Nongri Sub-district, Muang District, Cholburi Province overall and by sex, the difference is not statistically significant at the 0.05 level denying the set hypothesis. When classified by age  and education, the average monthly income of the people involved in the administration of  Nongri Sub-district, Muang District,  Cholburi Province,  overall differences were statistically significant at the 0.05 level confirming the set hypothesis.

               3. As for the problems and recommendations were as follows; Administration of Nongri Local Administrative Organization Aministration, Muang District, Cholburi Province should open  an opportunity for public participation in decisions making about the administrative plan or policy, budget allocation for sub-district development, opportunities for public participation in activities in Tambol There should be promotion for good understanding the taxation, there should be equal budget allocation for all areas in the Tambol There should be administration and budget allocation checking from the people for the transparency and justice. People should be informed about all activities undertaken by the Nongri Sub-district Local Administrative organization.
