ABSTRACT

                     The study entitled “Administration of Student’s Affairs Mahidol University Phutthamonthon District, Nakhonpathom Province” is two objectives 1) to study the administration of student’s affairs Mahidol University Phutthamonthon district, Nakhonpathom Province, 2) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions in the administration of student’s affairs Mahidol University Phutthamonthon district, Nakhonpathom Province. The independent variables for administrators, teachers and personnel used in this research were gender, age; position and qualification, for students were gender, age, class (year), faculty, responsibility and club members. The dependent variables were the administration activities of student affairs in 6 aspects, namely, the student activities, sports, administration, student discipline, advising and job providing, service and student welfare. And the total numbers of research samples were 219 people. The instrument applied in was questionnaires made by the researcher and it had a significant confidence of 0.91. and the statistic used to data analyze was Frequency, Percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation.

                     The research findings as follow:

                     1. The opinion of personnel on the administration of student’s affairs with satisfaction was generally high in an average value (  = 3.54), while individually considering it was found to be high in all aspects from the most to the least, namely, the sides of student activities (  = 3.80), service and student welfare (  = 3.69), advising and job providing (  = 3.59), administration       (  = 3.56), student discipline (  = 3.37) and sports (  = 3.23)

                     2. The opinion of students on the administration of student’s affairs with satisfaction was generally high in an average value (  = 3.52), while individually considering it was found to be high in all aspects from the most to the least, namely, the sides of student activities (  = 3.79), service and student welfare (  = 3.56), administration (  = 3.54), advising and job providing       (  = 3.44), student discipline (  = 3.40) and sports (  = 3.28)

                     3. The suggestions for the administration of student’s affairs found the administrator should pay more attention to the budget, co-operation, crucial plans which they will be in accordance with the policy and student affairs purposes systematically, It should arrange the budget to set a budget administration plan to be suitable for activities organized and to be enough for instruments. It should cooperate with other related divisions to work together. It should have further operation to push students comply with the university regulation strictly such as organizing the orientation to the new students by emphasizing on school regulations and publishing the rules to students and having public information persuading to comply with the disciplines. It should provide supervising teachers to give advice to students closely with private or with the lesson. It should cooperate in operation plan with all division staffs to have meeting for hearing and seeking solutions to problems continuously and properly.
