Abstract
This thesis consisted of three purposes. They were to study (1) the five precepts in Theravada Buddhism (2) the personality of the individual in society and (3)the application of five precepts to develop behaviors of persons in the society. This study was the document research and using data from Triptaka, Atthagatha, Deega, Anudeega, and books including the related research. The data were analyzed through the descriptive process.
The results showed as follows:
The five precepts were the Dhammar of human and considered as principles of practicing to pure human by abstaining from killing animals, stealing, bad sexual behaviors, lying and drinks. The five precepts were an origin of Dhammar as characteristics of a body and a speech and there were five concepts as attending as moving over a body and a speech and it would be cutting evils and peace in living all the time or future and if there were five precepts that would not be happening evils leading to the peace of life.
The behavior of human was a result of effecting a body as mind and body that brain, muscle and stimulus that they will be happening of feeling in mind for getting senses to act of various behaviors to out of body and mind, that there were two kinds as good and bad that say as a bad Behavior action had presented to outside, belong five precepts such as killing, stealing, sexual and drinking that there was without a kindness and a honesty that it was sense more than reason to deciding the problems but a good behavior was action outside that there are kindness and honestly very much to living.
The five precepts was applied to develop a bad behavior in society by practicing all the time in mind to control a body, a speech and mind with five precepts that there was being attention to do really that it will control action of people in society to do a bad behavior so there was a bit or small action to avoid cutting and excepting that five precepts will be a basic course to practice and supporting happened a kindness and a honesty for the way of living under Buddhism.
The five precepts were applied to develop a good behavior in the society by practicing all the time in mind to control a body, a speech and mind with five precepts that there was peace more than it before action as everybody was being attention to do that they was consciousness as (1) determination (2) avoidance and (3) consciousness and there was not doing desires with the body and the speech that the five precepts would help controlling action as a good behavior or a bad behavior that it was consciousness of feeling so very happy for living together in society that the way of life to peace in Buddhism resulting in the end of suffering. |
