ABSTRACT

The objectives of this research were as follows; 1) to study the people’s opinions on application of the Four Brahmaviharas in Mueang-Ngam sub-district administrative organization, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province, 2) to compare the people’s opinions on application of the Four Brahmaviharas in Mueang-Ngam sub-district administrative organization, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province in terms of sexes, ages, degrees of education, occupations and incomes as differently, 3) to study the suggestions were concerned with the promotion of the Four Brahmaviharas principle for applying in Mueang-Ngam sub-district administrative organization, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province. This research is quantitative research, the samples were people who live in Mueang-Ngam sub-district, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province amount 377 persons, the instrument for data collection were questionnaire as designed by researcher at the co-efficient of .942, data analysis by social science package computer program for research, the statistics were as follows; frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Z-test, One - Way ANOVA (F- test) and to test the difference of each pair of arithmetic mean by LSD (Least Significant Difference).

                The findings were as follows:-

                The people’s opinions on application of the Four Brahmaviharas for administration in Mueang-Ngam sub-district administrative organization, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province by overview was at more level when considered in each aspect found that the aspect of Metta was the highest average and followed up the aspect of Mudhita, the aspect of Karuna and the aspect of Upekha was the lowest average.

                The comparative results on people’s opinions towards application of the Four Brahmaviharas for administration in Mueang-Ngam sub-district administrative organization, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province found that in terms of sexes there were opinions on application of the Four Brahmaviharas for administration in Mueang-Ngam sub-district administrative organization, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province different as statistical significance at .001, in terms of degrees of education there were opinions on application of the Four Brahmaviharas for administration in Mueang-Ngam sub-district administrative organization, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province  different as statistical significance at .01, in terms of occupations there were opinions on application of the Four Brahmaviharas for administration in Mueang-Ngam sub-district administrative organization, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province different as statistical significance at .05, but in terms of ages and incomes there were opinions on application of the Four Brahmaviharas for administration in Mueang-Ngam sub-district administrative organization, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province not different as statistical significance at .05.

The suggestions were concerned with promotion of the Four Brahmaviharas for administration in Mueang-Ngam sub-district administrative organization, Singhanakhon district, Songkhla province, people have the opinion that we should congratulate and praise the one who do good for the community, placate colleagues when they have done something wrong, speak politely to other people as well serving them with fairly, be neutral to any controversies between groups, respect the public while still maintaining love and good will to everyone in the community as their own relatives, and take very good care to all public services provided to people in the community.
