ABSTRACT

The objectives of this research were as follows 1) to study an application     of the eight basic virtues on way of life of students in Jaruspichakorn school, Mueang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, 2) to compare an application of the eight basic virtues on way of life of students in Jaruspichakorn school, Mueang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province in terms of sexes, classes and parents’ occupations as differently, 3) to study the suggestions were concerned with problems and the way for promoting on the eight basic virtues on way of life of students in Jaruspichakorn school, Mueang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The population for this research were students in Matthayomsuksa 1-6, Jaruspichakorn school, Mueang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province academic year 2011 amount 1,305 persons, sample size according to Krejcie and Morgan’s table measurement, the samples were amount 297 persons, sampling by stratified random sampling and simple random sampling by lotto, the instrument for data collection was questionnaire on the eight basic virtues for applying on way of life of students in Jaruspichakorn school, Mueang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, the statistics were applied as follows, frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Z-test, F-test and to test the difference in each pair by Scheffe’s method.

The findings were as follows.

1)       An application of the eight basic virtues on way of life of students in Jaruspichakorn school, Mueang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province by overview was at more level, when considered in each aspect from more to less as follows,- the aspect of disciplinary was the highest average and followed up the aspect of unity and the aspect of economic was the lowest average respectively and when classified in terms of sexes, classes and parents’ occupations found that by overview was at more level.

2)       The comparative results on the eight basic virtues on way of life of students in Jaruspichakorn school, Mueang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province found that in terms of classes there were different as statistical significance at .01 and in terms of sexes there were different as statistical significance at .05 but in terms of parents’ occupations found that there were not different as statistical significance at .05

3)       The suggestions were concerned with problems on the eight basic virtues on way of life of students in Jaruspichakorn school, Mueang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The problems found that lack of economic, lots of purchasing, unutilized thing purchasing, no list of receiving and paying. The resolution found that there should have promotion on money valuable regarding by giving activities for inter-study incomes, to have a list of receiving and payment or school’s bank activity arrangement.
