Abstract
This Study presents An Analytical Study of Equanimity in the Vipassanãbhãvanã according to the four foundations of mindfulness. This participating qualitative research aims to study the Vipassanãbhãvanã in the scripture, Equanimity and the development of Equanimity in Tipitaka, Commentary and other scriptures.
The result of this research indicates that Vipassanãbhãvanã is the four foundations of mindfulness ; contemplation of body, feelings, mind and mind objects. The audience enlightened after listening to the only dhamma ; the four foundations of mindfulness. Because everyone practiced mindfully, concentrated on body and mind phenomena and attained insight knowledge and knowledge of the Path which gained by development or practice called Bhãvanãmaya˗paññã.
The Equanimity has 10 topics. The researcher choosed to study the last one of 7 enlightenment factors in Mahãsatipattanasutta in long discourse where Buddha said the principle of the meditation practice ; contemplation of mind objects, mindfulness as regards ideas as ultimate reality. We note precisely continuously in body and mind phenomena as impermanent, suffering and not self.
This enlightenment factors knowledge process ; when we are mindful, the true investigation happen. When we are mindful, the true investigation comes. When we are truly investigate, the effort comes. When we efforts, the rapture comes. When we are rapture, the calmness comes. When we are calm, the concentration comes. And when we concentrates, the Equanimity comes. Finally developing the perfect process to the purification of all beings, the extinction of all sorrow and lamentation, the end of all suffering and grief, and the attainment of nibbãna. |
