Abstract

The objectives of this research are: to study of Buddhist views on the case of cohabitation, to study the opinions of the scholars and people regarding to cohabitation, and to analysis the viewpoint of cohabitation according to the opinions of the concerned persons religion, culture, and sociology scholars. This research was studied from documents, research work and interview.

            The result of the study found that Buddhism does not support cohabitation.  The behavior of cohabitation was considered to violate the five precepts in committing sexual misconduct (kamesumicchajariya), because these children were under the protection of their parents in the relation between parents and offspring.

            For people and cultural social religious scholars had opinions that cohabitation was thinking change, belief or understanding of the modern society which they like to do indulge whatever they need. It was, they had mild mind easily love and easily boring. The main causes come from their family, parents had no time to look at them and let their children lived alone by living in the renting house for studying. The surroundings, school and communities were not suitable to mental develop, there were two cultures a round the children i.e. capitalism and consumerlism. Its cultural emulation without incorrect understanding and it was social problems present.

So, the solution for these problems: home, school, communities and temples have to co-operate by doing their duties systematically. They must have policy, plan, project to do together. The youth problem were social problem, everyone should take responsibility together by opening their eyes, heart to know and to speak true about children and youth. The main point of story was the one who is thinking to do this problem stop to think, desire then consider and think over. They should not more speculative mind than the truth appeared. They will find out the way to solve regarding to the individual factors.
