The target of this research is to study the management of Buddhist Monasteries in Sri Lanka. Taking time and doing hard works with documentary and field works I finished my thesis and have obtained the following results:

          I researched about the Management of Early Buddhist Monasteries and the Management of Buddhist Monasteries in the past Sri Lanka. I realised that the Management of Early Buddhist monasteries were successful. The Buddha managed the personal and physical properties in monasteries using disciplinary rules. Buddhist monks in the past Sri Lanksn monasteries followed those regulations. Kings and ministers had been supported to the monasteries.

          I understood that the management of the present Buddhist monasteries has deterioration. But some monasteries managed well and ran efficiently. Buddhist monks and devotees now use the modern technology to develop the monasteries in Sri Lanka
